Ah. is the late signature of Allen Ginsberg, who would call it the ‘Sound of the Orgasm’ to those who asked, and has the Tibetan syllable ‘Ah’ on his gravestone. In Hinduism and Buddhism, the syllable ‘Ah’ is the first syllable in the ‘OM’, and thus is considered the ‘seed of the seed of the universe’. It is the syllable that gave life to the word that gave vibrated itself into our existence, you and me, your computer screen, ENTER: PRIDE, and so on.
In this new release, Ah. writes:
This album was written during recovery.
This is my first release and my last will.
When I die, I want my body burned to ashes.
These ashes, in part, to be pressed into an LP vinyl
The vinyl, to be played to a garden that grows in the rest of the ashes
So that I may nourish any who seek it
I call this work 2DV$T
because the release date
is a sequential date that won’t be repeated again in my lifetime.
This has opened my eyes to the value of every second
Because each builds up to this soul I inherit upon death
The subject is a reflection on both sides of human life
‘Indigo‘ is a look into the moment immediately after death
‘Aura‘ is an art beat, more useful in notion than in sound,
as it is based on frequencies proven to strengthen plant growth.
I am 22 years old.
This piece is to be finished when I am 33.
During the course of this work I’ve learned two things:
Be viciously gentle.
To my family and to my enemies,
I burn for you.
The album, containing two sides, the first with two tracks and the other with eleven, carries you through a new world of sounds and styles, ranging from thick bass music to light atmospheric ambiance. Self-proclaimed ‘creator of Chillhop’, Ah. treads new ground in an EP (or LP?) that won’t soon be forgotten.
